Covington White Linen for Public Art, presented by the Covington Business Association (CBA), will celebrate its fourth year in downtown Covington on Saturday, August 18, from 6 to 9PM. This community-driven cultural arts event, which has quickly become one of the Northshore’s most popular and well-attended affairs, showcases the Northshore’s vast array of artists, restaurants, shops, and more – all in the name of public art. This free event takes place throughout downtown Covington’s Cultural Arts District. Patrons are encouraged to don their white summer attire.

Areas of Columbia Street and Lee Lane in downtown Covington will be blocked off so that pedestrians may shop, stroll, eat and imbibe while enjoying a variety of local vendors, live music, art demonstrations and more. Local art galleries, shops and restaurants will also be open for business, providing special attractions and beverages for patrons to enjoy.

More than 40 local businesses will donate a percentage of their pre-tax sales during the event to the Covington Public Art Fund. Since its creation in 2015, Covington White Linen for Public Art has already funded one major public art piece – a bronze sculpture of Covington historical figure Walker Percy – which was created by local artist William Binnings.
